Imogen

Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

(She/Her)

Imogen specialises in working with children and adolescents and strives to provide a space of warmth and genuine care.  Imogen takes an integrated, trauma informed and person centred approach to therapy. Imogen draws on a range of modalities that include EMDR, cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution focused brief therapy and dialectic behavioural therapy.

Turning tides counselling provides individual counselling sessions for children, adolescents and their families or carers.

You do not need a referral to access Turning Tides counselling however, if you wish to receive a Medicare rebate, you will need to be referred by your GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist through a Mental Health Treatment Plan.

Services

Imogen understands that sitting in a therapy room may not be for everyone and also offers walk and talk sessions. School visits are also available however, may have additional cost for travel.

Fees:

Standard appointment (50 minutes):

Full fee (without medicare rebate) - $210

Medicare rebate - $87.25

Out of pocket cost with medicare rebate - $122.75

Under the Better Access initiative, eligible patients can claim a Medicare benefit for up to 10 individual and 10 group therapy mental health treatment services per calendar year.

You may be eligible for coverage under your health insurance. Speak to your health insurance provider to confirm whether you are covered for mental health services by an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. Please note you cannot claim from both medicare and private health for the same session.

Imogen also offers appointments for NDIS Plan-Managed and Self-Managed participants.

There may be additional fees for services such as letters and reports if they require substantial time to complete.

Cancellation policy:

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.

  • Missed appointments (no-shows) are also charged the full session fee.

  • Medicare rebates are not available for cancelled or missed appointments.

  • If there is an emergency or sudden illness, please reach out as soon as possible.
