Welcome to Turning Tides Counselling
Turning Tides is a Sunshine Coast based service offering children and adolescents a space for reflection, support, growth and change.
There are times where life may feel difficult to navigate.
Our work together can provide an opportunity to slow down, explore what may be happening beneath the surface and develop a deeper understanding of thoughts, emotions, experiences and behaviours. Together, we can build coping and relaxation strategies, navigate challenges and work towards creating a fulfilling, meaningful and balanced life.
About me
Imogen
Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
(She/Her)
I specialise in working with children and adolescents and strive to create a space where young people feel comfortable, heard and genuinely cared for. I take an integrated, trauma-informed and person-centred approach to therapy, recognising that every young person is different and that therapy should be tailored to their individual needs.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, dialectical behaviour therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. I work collaboratively with young people and their families, taking the time to understand their experiences and support them in navigating life’s challenges.
